whats good about it?
Nose: corn, vanilla, butterscotch, more corn... hint of oak...
Taste: Sweet corn, vanilla, sweetness... not much spice... smooth start, I had to double check to see that it is 95 proof! Very smooth start, mid, and finish... some oak... no burn... deserves another pour...
Smooth, sweet, caramel, corn... still no burn on the finish... Are you sure this is 95 proof... yep...
Overall a sweet smooth bourbon meant to drink neat, no need to water down this 95 proof.
went to BevMo. they said i had to special order it and it could take months because its handled by a distributer they rarely see but maybe 2-3 times a year. :(
Oh my.... Let it sit a bit... cork on... the oak blends with the corn nicely... still no need to water it down... a bit richer... another pour... yum... mellow... sweet corn/oak...
yeah... i like some oak in my bourbon. try bulleit. its my fav, and has all the character i LOVE in a daily pour. so much so, that i cant stop pouring, so i have to buy it less often cause the morning afer really sucks.
i reviewed it a couple months back. its pretty rough and tumble, yet addicting.
Oh yes, the Bulleit is a great value. Yum!
