The thrill is gone.

Obama Girl says the thrill is gone, the love is lost.

said she wishes he spent his first year in office more fo cused on fixing the abysmal economy. "I know he's getting a lot of flak for things that he's not doing," she told The Post. "In my opinion, I feel like he should be focusing a lot more on jobs and the economy."
Think we will ever get as much honesty from Chris "tingle up my leg" Matthews?

TOTUS called us Stupid Americans

Obama supporters claim he is so articulate and soooooo smart...
...and that he has such a large vocabulary and that he really knows how to use it.

Then, in his state of the union speech, Obama said he just didn't explain ObamaNationCare well enough for Americans to understand.

Well, there you have it folks, Obama said Americans aren't smart enough to understand. Stupid Americans, eh Mr. President.

So here's to the lady with the little red shoes,

she spends my money,

and drinks my booze,

she ain't got no cherry,

but that's not a sin,

Desperation

Filibuster reform headed for Senate floor

Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa) intends in the next few weeks to introduce legislation that would take away the minority’s power to filibuster legislation.

Why is Senator Harkin so afraid to debate and discuss the issues?
“At issue is a fundamental principle basic to our democracy — rule of the majority as a legislative body,” Harkin wrote. “Elections should have consequences. Yet the Senate's current rules allow for a minority as small as one to make elections meaningless.”
Actually, Senator Harkin, we are a republic, if you can keep it.

And please don't insult the American people with a such a lie about one person making an election meaningless. Please resign, you partisan hack, you aren't smart enough to understand the fundamentals of this country and our form of government.
“While there are reasons to slow bills down and get the public aware of what's happening, there's no excuse for having a few people just stop everything with a filibuster,” he said.
WOW! Why are the Democrats so afraid to discuss the ObamaNationCare bills?

Why are the Democrats trying so hard to ram this ObamaNationCare takeover down our throats?

The next question is how and why the Senate leader Reid is even allowing the idea.
Reid has been outspoken against changing the Senate rules:
“It was just a matter of time before a Senate leader who couldn’t get his way on something moved to eliminate the filibuster for regular business,” Reid wrote. “And that, simply put, would be the end of the United States Senate … A filibuster is the minority’s way of not allowing the majority to shut off debate, and without robust debate, the Senate is crippled.”
Why are some Democrats trying to cripple the Senate?

Will Obama force Reid to change his position and support changing the Senate rules?

Or will Obama stick to his position of NOT changing the filibuster rules?
“The American people want less partisanship in this town, but everyone in this chamber knows that if the majority chooses to end the filibuster — if they choose to change the rules and put an end to democratic debate — then the fighting and the bitterness and the gridlock will only get worse,” Obama said
How's that HOPE and CHANGE working out?

CHANGE

Remember when deficit spending was bad? That has changed over the past year. (Dissent used to be patriotic as well.)

The clock is ticking.

But now the Democrats and leftists are real quiet about out-of-control spending and huge debt.

Meanwhile conservatives are saying we have gone from BAD to MUCH WORSE.

Remember when a $480 billion deficit was crazy? Pfffftttt, that's nuthin compared to the current spending. OUCH!

(Step right up and try to defend the current spending, I dare ya!)

Olymics part deux?

President Obama will travel to Massachusetts on Sunday to campaign for Martha Coakley, according to sources.

Obama is supporting her after she took a shot a Fenway fans.
“As opposed to standing outside Fenway Park? In the cold? Shaking hands?’’ she fires back, in an apparent reference to a Brown online video of him doing just that.
Ouch! Sounds like she thinks she is above actually asking people for their votes.

.

Well, folks, lets hope the Obama endorsement gets the same results as Chicago did for the Olympics.

Bwaney Fwank to limit executive pay

“The question of compensation for people in the financial industry is a legitimate cause of concern,” Frank said on Wednesday.

Frank called a hearing for Jan. 22 and said he is not convinced by arguments that restrictions would hurt the industry...

Frank said he supports a tax on the financial enterprises, possibly a tax on assets.

And he said he is looking at ways to expand a “say on pay” specifically for financial institutions.

“I think we should be changing the marginal tax rate at that level of income,” Frank added.

Frank said it makes more sense to set up a new government agency, the Consumer Financial Protection Agency, to regulate the credit card industry more broadly.

I hope people realize that by keeping Fwank in his position you are depending on a person responsible FOR the problem to fix the problem. That's like going to Dr. Kevorkian to save your life.

Don't look to Fwank to defend our liberty and freedoms.

History Repeats

QUESTION: What have we learned in 2,065 years?

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance."
- Cicero - 55 BC

ANSWER:
So, evidently nothing.

Back at ya AB

My friend ApathyBoy tends to be on the other side of the political isle from me.
That doesn't mean he doesn't hold a jaded eye toward politicians.

Where we tend to digress is that I don't think anyone could be that incompetent. To survive in politics takes a bit of savvy smarts crazy as a fox or very very good handlers.

Sure, they might have the best of intentions when they start... but take a look at the current middle of the night back room dealing and sellouts that have taken place to ram ObamaNationCare down our throats.

Franklin was right; a republic, IF you can keep it. (Our grades in that are falling dramatically.)

Happy New Year!!!
